For the past few years, Vifloor Canada has partnered with Holiday Helpers Canada.

We were touched by the story of two sisters, April and Sarah Rutka, who in 1996 were volunteering at a local food bank and found out about a family who lost everything in a fire just days before Christmas. Wanting to do more than just give money, the sisters reached out to friends and family and collected Christmas decorations and spare change to purchase an artificial tree for the family. This was the start. From there, through their big hearts, goodwill and ingenuity, they formed Holiday Helpers.

Spirit of the Holidays

What is so special about Holiday Helpers is they support local low income families with young children who are trying to improve their circumstances, with a one-time personalized Christmas package. They provide a complete Christmas experience, with an artificial tree with all the trimmings, including lights, decorations and a tree topper, a gift certificate to a local grocery store and personalized gifts for each of the family members, including winter clothing, toys and household items. Through their tireless work and the help of thousands of volunteers and donors, they bring the spirit of the holidays to over 500 families in the Greater Toronto Area.

Vifloor Canada is proud to be part of this incredible movement of goodwill. We provide grocery cards for 75 families that is part of the Christmas package, bringing smiles and a warm heart for those receiving and also those who are giving.
